let’s work together

Our process

We start with a discovery call—a phone call or in home consultation (preferred) to discuss the scope of your project. This means getting to know the season your family is in, the direction you’re headed and your design preferences (your personal style, color preferences, lifestyle, habits, etc.). We also touch base on project budget and desired timeline.

After understanding the needs of your family and your space, we begin to pull together layout options for your room(s). Space planning clears the way so we know what pieces (and sizes!) will work, how they will flow and how to optimize function.

Next comes one of our favorite aspects…sourcing product! Furniture pieces, rugs, lighting, accessories, paint colors, plumbing fixtures, hardware, materials, you name it. If your room needs it or you want it, we will find it. We present these to you for approval, making any necessary revisions along the way.

We make an itemized list of every room including prices, item dimensions and details. Depending on product selection, for many independent clients we can source links for you to purchase items directly. For others who want to be able to relax, focus on their daily lives, go on vacation, or have a more hands off approach with project management, we can receive deposits from you and get started on ordering items. This service is advantageous for clients who want that special designer touch, as many of the best design elements are offered to-the-trade only. Our full-service design partnership gives you all the design benefits without the hassle or headache of tracking items or wrangling customer service representatives.

Once all items are received, we schedule install and can make recommendations for necessary subs (electricians, movers, etc.) and oversee the process to ensure there are no loose ends. We follow up each major project with a photo session to document our hard work together and share these final images in our portfolio and with you at no additional cost.

the billing process

Fees for interior design services are project and scope dependent. Once I have an idea of the scope of the project I give you, the client, an estimate for the project that is typically set at a fixed project cost [flat rate fee] so you can begin to prepare mentally and financially. Payment terms, specific project estimates and further details will be written out in your personalized client agreement.
